We received a team from Fairfield Community church who supported financially and participated in a 3 day medical mission. Over 3000 people were reached out to through the mission, many gave their lives to Christ, received medical attention, health information, spiritual healing among others. Many were encouraged through the good news of Jesus Christ which was the heart of the mission and helped through guidance and counselling.
In addition, part of the mission was an outreach program to children in which about 184 children were reached out to especially those that came with their parents for the medical mission. This program was centred on sharing the Good News of Christ’s love and helping the children to acknowledge that Jesus loved them and is able to heal every kind of health complication. Different activities such as; bible stories, singing, playing games, praying with the children were done. By the end of the mission, about 30 children had given their lives to Christ.
The mission was climaxed with a “Kids’ Day” in the slums area of Nabulagala at Family Believers’ church. About 150 children were part of this and they enjoyed every bit as they were taught Bible stories, sang and danced and prayed for.
The team also engaged in community outreach in the slums, participated in community cleaning, distributed parcels of basic needs to over 50 homes and carried out tree planting in different parts of the community.
